John Good set sights on achieving targets following latest appointment
We are pleased to announce that Stewart Oades has been appointed to the Board of John Good and Sons Limited as a Non-Executive Director.
This appointment is a statement of our determination to achieve our long term goal of developing our logistics, corporate travel and shipping activities.
During his career, Stewart has gained an unrivalled knowledge of the industries in which we operate. He has held senior management positions in companies such as Argyll Stores plc, Christian Salveson plc and Exel plc. As well as serving as President of the Freight Transport Association, he also has advisory experience with Marks and Spencer plc and previous Non-Executive Director experience with Clipper Group plc and Thai Union Europe (formerly John West).
Stewart is currently a senior independent Non-Executive Director for Wincanton plc and Reflex Van Hire and is also Chairman of Dalepak Ltd. He has been heavily involved in charitable initiatives, therefore not only does he feel comfortable with the values and culture within our business, but he shares our commitment to achieving consistent, rapid growth. It is this that has encouraged him to join our team.
We believe that Stewart will make a significant contribution to helping us achieve our aspirations, and that his experience and judgement will be invaluable as we strive to become a truly national organisation with leading positions in all of the markets in which we operate.
We greatly look forward to working with Stewart on the next, exciting stages of the development and expansion of the Group and of its various activities.
